This boat was taken over by the Marina, which has clear title. It has been neglected for a long time, and it shows it. Both the deck and the interior need extensive cleaning, the running rigging needs replacing. Otherwise the hull, topsides and standing rigging appear to be structurally OK. It has several sails in varying degrees of condition, several salvageable cushions and not a great deal else. On the other hand, it has lots of room, and boats of this type are good sailors. It is definitely restorable, and we have experienced far worse situations that have been taken on and restored. Lancer 28 was stock with an outboard motor; this boat needs a motor; 10 HP is generally adequate for the weight.
